This bottling represents an exciting collaboration between La Maison & Velier in France with Cyril Isautier on Reunion Island to create a co-bottled series of exceptional casks coming from the oldest stocks of Isautier cellar. The distiller holds a unique space in the world of rum: producing both rhum agricole from fresh cane juice and traditional rum from molasses. Cyril Isautier is now in charge of the distillery has produced some of the most iconic spirits of the region for six generations. Molasses produced from locally-grown sugar cane is fermented with selected yeast for 24 hours. It arrives to an abv of around 8% before distillation on a two-column still. Barreled in 2006, aged for sixteen years in the tropics at La Reunion, then bottled in September of 2022 at 57% with no adulteration.
