In 1993, after a period of dormancy, the distillery was acquired by Gordon & MacPhail, a family-owned company deeply rooted in the whisky industry. Under their stewardship, Benromach underwent extensive renovations and refurbishments, blending traditional techniques with modern innovations to create a distinctive whisky profile.
