This 7-year-old Hazelburn was matured in sherry casks and bottled at 47.9% ABV, giving the distillery’s triple-distilled, unpeated style a richer and fuller profile. Hazelburn’s naturally soft, rounded spirit works especially well with sherry maturation, as the cask adds depth and sweetness without taking away from the whisky’s elegance.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep burnished amber with mahogany edges and coppery-ruby shimmer.

Nose

Raisins mingle with soft toffee, bright orange peel and polished oak in a warm, inviting bouquet. The sherry influence softens into creamy, orchard-fruit notes, while the elegance of the spirit keeps the aroma refined and graceful.

Palate

Rounded and creamy on the palate, with dried fruit, sweet spice, malt and a gentle nuttiness, carried by a subtle sherry sweetness.

Finish

Long and warming, the finish lingers with sherry sweetness and soft oak, a velvet echo of dried fruit and gentle spice that warms the palate long after the sip
