Wild Turkey 12 Year Old "Cheesy Gold Foil" 1991
Wild Turkey’s history is divided into bottlings with some… peculiar nicknames. The mid-80s to the early 90s was the reign of the Cheesy Gold Foil, named after the bottle’s shiny label and tube. The Cheesy Gold Foil was introduced following the Glut Era, a period in which bourbon sales were at an all-time low. As a result, a lot of premium barrels, often aged for much longer than mentioned on the label, ended up in standard bottles of Wild Turkey. Wild Turkey 12 Years Old Cheesy Gold Foil is widely regarded as some of the best bourbon Wild Turkey has ever produced.
