Its story begins in Pennsylvania, where a Swiss Mennonite farmer named John Shenk established a distillery in 1753. This distillery gained fame for producing rye whiskey of exceptional quality, becoming known as Shenk's Distillery.Throughout the years, Shenk's Distillery underwent several changes in ownership and name, eventually becoming known as Bomberger's Distillery in the 19th century.
