Cask Strength
Pure Antique 22 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey Lot 2 is an exceptionally mature American bourbon from Preservation Distillery’s Pure Antique collection, a series built around scarce stocks of long-aged whiskey bottled in extremely small quantities. This specific Lot 2 release carries an extraordinary 22-year age statement and is bottled at 115.8 proof (57.9% ABV).
Pure Antique is known for emphasizing long maturation, unusually low barrel-entry proof in its historic stocks, small-lot blending, and bottling at natural cask strength without filtration. More than two decades in oak give this whiskey a deeply mature profile where concentrated caramelized sweetness, dried fruit, tobacco, spice, and seasoned oak become central to the experience.
The 22 Year expression follows the acclaimed Pure Antique 20 Year release and represents some of the oldest whiskey selected for the modern Pure Antique lineup. Preservation has described these mature stocks as exceptionally scarce, with only a tiny number of barrels reserved for extended aging.
Nose: Dark caramel, brown sugar, dried fig, antique oak, vanilla, pipe tobacco, and gentle baking spice.
Palate: Concentrated caramelized sweetness with dried fruit, mature oak, dark vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon, and rich barrel spice.
Finish: Exceptionally long and warming with seasoned oak, dark caramel, dried fruit, leather, tobacco, and lingering spice.
