Brand History
Torabhaig Distillery is a historic and innovative producer of Single Malt Scotch Whisky, notable as only the second legal distillery to operate on the Isle of Skye in nearly 200 years. Housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century farmstead, the distillery began production in 2017 with a focus on producing a distinctive, highly-peated Island-style malt often referred to as "well-tempered peat," balancing smoke with complexity and earthiness. Torabhaig utilizes traditional methods, including long fermentation in Douglas Fir wooden washbacks and aging primarily in first-fill bourbon casks, with initial releases being part of the Legacy Series that charts the distillery's journey toward its future flagship 10-year-old single malt, solidifying its place as a sophisticated new force in Scotch production.
