Bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky, Hirsch the Horizon Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a blend of two different bourbon mash bills distilled by MGP in Indiana.  94% of the mash is the lower rye MGP mash bill featuring 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley.  The remainder of the blend consists of MGP’s higher rye mash bill which uses 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley.  The whiskies are aged between four and six years before blending and bottling at 92 proof.  The Horizon gives off soft scents of citrus fruit and vanilla with a hint of oak in the background.  The palate offers classic bourbon notes of caramel and vanilla with a touch of cinnamon and clove spice.  On the finish, the spice gives way to warm caramel and oak.  Crafted with precision and passion, this exquisite bourbon embodies the legacy of A.H.
